FIT stands for Framework for Internal Transformation. It is a result of almost 30 years of academic research and client engagements by Professor Ben (C) Fletcher and others. Through this applied research we have identified the behavioural and thinking characteristics that allow some to respond effectively to challenge, change and opportunity while others merely cope or fail.
Managers who have developed these FIT characteristics at an appropriate level have been shown to be:
• Higher achievers; • More aligned with, and accepting of, the goals required by their organisation; • Better at motivating others to add maximum value in their roles; • More in control, more satisfied, and significantly less stressed.
However, one of the key findings of the research is that over 95% of the working population, at all levels of seniority, operate below the optimum levels in some aspects. This means that over 95% of even the most senior workforce have the potential to deliver even better results, in a shorter time, in all situations.
